Volunteering for the fair is genuinely a fun experience. People are there to enjoy themselves, children are tearing around having a right old time, there will be children with facepaint, children with faces stained from slushies, children buzzing from having a horse ride, children delighted with the new toy they got for a gold coin.
It’s wholesome, it’s lovely, and it’s a nice feeling to help be a part of putting something like that on.
Here are the ways you can help make the Fair a success by volunteering your time.
Helping setup for the clothing night market on Thursday evening - a chance to meet others from your community, have a natter and get some of the best examples of the donated clothes hung and ready for the Friday evening sale
Help run the Friday night market
Help setup the indoor stalls on Saturday. Hanging clothes, displaying books, arranging toys and jewellery.
Staff a stall for a shift or two on the Sunday for the fair itself
Help with pack down at the end of the fair (then come and have a beer)
You will have some fun, this is about the least worky that work can get.
